I agree. They can lie, too. I'm not surprised. I'm use to leaders having their own agenda, using villagers for their own gain, their own wars.

We're all spread thin trying to help one god win. We're not working together to stop their game.

I think part of it is that people aren't really going out of their way to talk to gods who aren't their own. If they have no idea what the other ones are like, then nothing really happens.
