Madoka's was a test. I wish it hadn't gone to her, but I didn't have the luxury of controlling it. As for Ai... I wanted to link Fortune's killer to Ruin's murder the following week. Create some confusion. Still would've chosen someone else for that, but again, no control. Sorry.
Not really. Chaos, I guess. I'm not really sure what her intentions were.
[...]
But she did tell Ai that Fortune's killer was likely ex-Ruin, and they would be targeting her next. She was wrong on both counts, but by taking advantage of that, I thought maybe I could pin Ai's death on Luna too.
Too petty for what? Murder? The guy's too soft to be here, if you want my opinion. Maybe he's really as stupid as he seems, but I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Knowing and doing are two different things, pal. Is he actually willing to take initiative to get what he wants, or is he going to just hope the game works out in his favor?
[Notes trill as he drums his fingers on the keys in thought.]
Some of the gods have mentioned that some of their followers have been less than proactive. Freeloading, or just milking the gods for favors without pulling their weight on the team. Senri seems like one of those types. No one pulling that shit deserves to walk out of here with a wish.
Awfully big talk, but you know, I respect that. Most of the people in this game could use a little more... Substance, we'll say. Tell him I said hi though, would you?
The thought crossed my mind, but you have to remember we ran into each other by mistake. Turning her down would've left me open then and there. At least in a partnership I'd be useful through the trial.
week 4, saturday
Really.

Not that any of this seemed like it would be yours.

You flatter me. I've been putting on a show for a long time, kiddo. It was easy.
[That said, all his end-of-trial arrogance has been tossed aside for the moment. He just sounds tired.]
Then again, now my cover's been blown, so. There's that.

How long were you planning on doing it? [ murder ] Until you got caught?

Why two this week though?

[So, score one for the trial.]
Luna asked me to take out Ai, and in exchange she'd do Ruin for me. Obviously that didn't work out.

Motherfucking Luna.

[It's unclear if he means that to be a compliment or not?]
I guess I'll be seeing her again soon, huh?

... did she say why she wanted to kill Ai?

[ he shakes his head. ]
He's actually working pretty hard behind the scenes. He won't come to talk to you because he's a fucking baby, but he's playing the game.

[And then, in sing-song:]
Guess he'll never know.

He won't miss much.

[He stands and makes his way out of the parlor. Maybe he'll get lucky and there will be a piano in the afterlife.]
