"Unfortunately" is definitely one way of putting it... Well, you can probably guess where I'm going with this.

You could call me one? I can... sense when people are killed nearby. And if I make contact with their corpse, I experience their last moments—what they were feeling, what they were thinking. [it's a lot of fun, can you tell.] I wouldn't be able to identify the guy's killers, but I've got a decent idea of how things went down.

Neither. Before that, though... he was walking away from someone. Skinny teenage boy with golden hair and eyes. He didn't know his name. But I remember meeting someone like that at the airport, before we were brought here.

I don't know if he was in on it, but he told the victim to go towards the jail, and it was when he was on his way there that he was ambushed and killed.

... I did some research. The victim's name was Robert Gilmore. He was looking for his sister, who he thought the Xian Le family had kidnapped. His last thought was of her, too.

[which... strikes a little too close to home, now that he thinks about it, so he falls quiet for a few moments.]

He was rattled last week about something. Maybe he knew his time was up? Plus, his killers were familiar to him.
